For some reason the first thing I thought is that it should be put on point with the dark green and wine on the bottom. It creates a lot of movement for the pinwheel. Beyond that I haven't a clue as to what to do. I think it's quite a busy block, so it needs something calming, but as you are working on the outside border, it can't be too plain (wasn't that helpful?).
