Modern Dresdens
Although the grout is calling (aka, the infinished kitchen backsplashes), I thought I'd share the start of my modern dresden plate quilt. My red/rose fabric that I chose for the center of the plates arrived yesterday. So far I have 6 of 20 plates completed. They stitch up reasonably quickly, then it will be a ton of hand applique.

Love the centre fabric. Looks like there might be a quilting design in there.....

Oh my, what is the center fabric? It's perfect!
Ooooh, they make me sing too!!! I LOVE these!! I've just started playing with the Dresden Plate pattern...let's go for the wild side of our nature. :D
What a clever idea to fussy cut the centres, love the fabric!
