As Promised, Fig Tree Sampler Quilt

Short on words today. Even shorter on time. This has been finished a couple weeks now and I am just getting pictures posted. The busy sashings were challenging for me. I like to utilize sashings to help ground sampler blocks when they are all different. In this case, the busy sashings all seem to blend into the blocks, which doesn't do the pretty blocks any favors. They need to show!
So, for the quilting, I chose to quilt all of the quilt in an ivory thread, but then used green along the sashings to help to define them. It's subtle, just dual rows of green loopies, but it does help for definition.
It's been snowy all the blasted month of January, so I have awful dull lighting for the pictures.
Here's a few pretty blocks...
I have done several samplers for this client so I struggle each time to come up with something different and unique for her. I hate the thought of being coined a "one trick pony" because I only generate one type of quilting.

The fabrics are just lovely~
I'll be away for a few, but look back on Monday or Tuesday for more -

This one is a beauty! your work is lovely, but you did prove by the last post that "quilt that out" song was about You! Really, I'm commenting here to tell you, we all commiserated w/ you, that's all. And, the "ugly one" does look so much better that I would've thought possible....

Your quilting is wonderful on this..

but I don't think being a one trick pony is so bad... It actually isnt being that but actually having your own style..which isn't a bad thing...

I have my own personal style.. or did before achilles tendonosis put me on my butt for a year but I have started back to work this week and hope to have photos on my blog before long.

I was actually nervous today as if it was my first ever client quilt! I didn't realize I would have such stage fright coming back to work!
